The Remix All-Nighter returns to the heart of the matter with a dome shockingly brilliant line up of mind numbing beats, cool as f**k electro and more dancefloor joy than you could ever fit into a smile! And you know the best thing: ITS ONLY A FIVER!!
Electro-clashers Ladytron are set to storm the main stage at The Remix All Nighter on July 17 with an exclusive London show. After completing worldwide sell-out tours last year off the back of their top 40 album Velocifero, the band has now taken on songwriting duties for princess of pop Christina Aguilera. Expect glacial synths, raucous beats and a full on live festival club set. Making his triumphant return to The Remix is the legendary Phil Hartnoll. Co-founder of Orbital and one of dance music’s most influential pioneers PH is riding the crest of a monster wave with a string of summer dates including headlining the mainstage at Global Gathering with Orbital. If his last Remix performance (sold out) is anything to go buy this will be the clubnight of the year.
If that wasn’t enough there are live performances from analogue/digital terrorists The Japanese Popstars and new wave electro popsters Burn The Negative who have just released their new album ‘In The Atmosphore’. The boys have been locked in the studio putting the finishing touches to their awesome debut album ‘Beautiful Losers’, already tipped as ‘banging and really accomplished’ by Liam Howlett. Joining them on the matter’s vibrating floor is an all star DJ cast including Alex Metric, Eddy TM, Matrix and Futuebound and Punks Jump Up.
The Remix is XFM’s only nationally broadcast specialist music show hosted by Eddy Temple-Morris. Eddy is widely regarded as the undisputed champion not just of genre-hopping but of genre-breeding, slipping enough pills into dance music’s pint until it finds itself curled up in the corner of the room, with rock’s dangly bits hanging in its mouth.
A feast of edginess, energy and sub grooves right through till dawn…
Future Remix All Nighter dates include: 18th September | 13th November

Nail Tolliday and Simon Mills, AKA Bent make a welcome return to the stage after a two year sabbatical at the newly refurbished Garage venue on July 22nd to celebrate what promises to be the retrospective album of the summer, their highly anticipated 'Best Of Bent' due for release on July 20th. The band will be debuting some new tracks off the album and of course will drop in a few of their classics songs to satiate their devoted and loyal fan base. A mouth watering prospect indeed! Not wishing to rest on their laurels, the boys have insisted on making this a real party by inviting some of their mates to join them including Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Sister Bliss (Faithless) and Mighty Mouse
Bent background: Spanning the career of one of the UK's most influential artists - famous for hits such as Always, I Love My Man, Swollen, Magic Love and To Be Loved, it respectfully nods to their past, present and future - further proof why Bent remain not just important to the development of UK electronica, but to contemporary music altogether.
Two young lads from Oxfordshire dreamt of dinosaurs rampaging the planet roaring pre-historic basslines and thumping out Neanderthal beats with their tails. Cavewomen in lycra, men beating drums and everyone dancing naked around fire! Soon after Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs came into existence and not long after they penned their debut EP, The International Sonic Wresting Match, an attempt to rewire the DNA of mid-90s culture, leaving other DJ fossils to shame, submitting New Kids On The Block to the low frequency seismic tremors of Zinc and rightly booting R Kelly into Remarc's closet. Phew! TISWM is Released on June 15th 2009 via Greco Roman Music. www.myspace.com/totallyenormousextinctdinosaurs
As one of the founding members of Faithless, Sister Bliss became one of Britain's most popular figures in the electronica scene. What many might not realize is her incredible history as a musician and DJ before that point. She started DJing in 1987, acting as one of the few female house DJs in Britain at the time. She appeared at many popular clubs in the country, including Cream, the Gallery, and the Ministry of Sound, and began to play internationally as well before she joined up with Rollo to form Faithless in 1995. It's a real treat to have her on the bill.
London based Mighty Mouse began working together in November 2008, their first remix of City Reverb's 'Time Side On' has received massive support from Aeroplane, Unabombers, Tom Middleton, Trevor Jackson, Babyshambles DJ's and was played by Aeroplane on Pete Tong's Essential selection on Radio 1. Their electronic disco sound has drawn interest from a host of labels and remix offers are flooding in from all corners of the globe.

We kicked off the new year with a raucous sell-out show in the Borderline headlined by the legendary Acoustic Ladyland with Deathray Trebuchay in support. It was a cracking show, with fantastic reviews and a brilliant time was had by all... So when Acoustic Ladyland asked Twisted Licks to put on their album launch we couldn't resist. "Fuck yes - bring it on!" were the exact words, I believe.

Much has happened to ACOUSTIC LADYLAND since December 2006 when they released the widely acclaimed Skinny Grin. Now Acoustic Ladyland present their latest work, Living With A Tiger. They've shaken up their line up and replaced the keyboards with the filthy, guttural punk bass style of Ruth Goller and the mutant guitar of Chris Sharkey (TrioVD).
“At their best, Acoustic Ladyland sound like no other band on the planet” 4/5 The Guardian
“One of London’s most consistently jaw-dropping live acts… they’re on blistering, beautiful form” Evening Standard
“Fierce intelligence meets musical fire” 4/5 The Independent
With their eponymous debut album THE INVISIBLE have woven together strands of diverse sounds to create a fresh and new musical elixir. Their music is a unique strain of danceable, multi-layered genre-spanning spacepop imbued with ethereal yet gutsy vocals- something alien but simultaneously completely familiar. http://www.myspace.com/theinvisiblethree
"The Invisible are so white-hot that we reckon they must dress soley in Nomex jumpsuits , but they're also easily the best UK pop band we've heard in a very long time indeed" TIME OUT
Welcome to the world of GRASSCUT: sweeping melody, epic build, rain, dislocation, glitched-out psych-pastoralism, beauty and beats. Inspired by and continuing the bold tradition of English transcendentalism, this is music that could serve as a contemporary soundtrack to long-lost films by Lindsay Anderson or Powell and Pressburger. http://www.myspace.com/grasscutmusic
“One of that select band of artists who are making genuinely daring music that still remains an accessible and enjoyable listen” – Tom Robinson BBC 6Music
